More news is emerging about an attack on a livestock ship that sailed from the city of Bosaso, the capital of the Bari region, to the Arabian Gulf.
According to the Marine Traffic Center, a livestock ship from the city of Bosaso in Puntland was attacked while sailing along the Red Sea coast of Yemen, heading to the port of Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Armed groups opened fire on the Greek-owned Merinos Livestock ship, forcing it to divert to the port of Mokha in Yemen.
No casualties were reported in the attack, which comes at a time of heightened security tensions in the Red Sea due to the situation in Yemen.
