The Chairman of the Somali Disaster Management Authority, Mr. Mahmoud Macalin, welcomed the Head of Läkarmissionen International (LM International) Ms. Josephine Sundqvist and her delegation to the SoDMA headquarters, an organization based in Stockholm, Sweden that works in the field of international aid and development.
First, SoDMA provided the LM International delegation with a brief overview of the background of SoDMA and the priority projects outlined in the national and SoDMA-specific plans. In turn, the LM International delegation provided the SoDMA leadership with a brief overview of the organization and its work in the world, especially in Africa. This overview covered development and aid projects that LM International is currently implementing.
Finally, the two organizations agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlines the areas in which the two organizations can work together.
