Bosaso : 09 August 2025 : The President of the Puntland State, His Excellency Said Abdullahi Deni, accompanied by the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Mohamed Bari Shire and Beldaje Mohamed Beldaje Ismail today laid the foundation stone of the Calmiskaad road that will connect the towns of Bosaso and Dhaadaar in Bari Region, with the event attended by the Councils of the Puntland State, the Traditional Council, the Bari Regional Administration Cheif Mr. Shahadoon Ali Yare, the Bosaso district administration
The President of the Puntland State, highlighted the importance of this road for traffic in the Bari Region, noting that it came about due to a need in the Dhaadaar area, which has now been cleared of ISIS terrorists, and it is a road that is not limited to economic infrastructure but also has security significance.
The road connecting Bosaso – Dhaadaar, is 92km long and its construction will begin tomorrow with the participation of the Government and the people, it is part of the development of the Somalia to closely connect the major cities of Puntland.
