The new commander of the Danab force, Lieutenant Colonel Abdiasis Hussein Mohamed, today took over from the previous commander of the 16th Brigade. The Somali National Army Commander recently relieved the previous commander, Lieutenant Colonel Aydaruus.
US officials supporting the brigade attended the handover ceremony.
