Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, widely known as Hemeti, is set to visit South Sudan in what will be his first official foreign mission as head of the parallel Government of Sudan, with Nyala declared as its capital city.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Juba, the visit is not directly linked to the ongoing political crisis in Sudan, but rather aimed at seeking guidance and support from President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on all media outlets to attend a press conference scheduled for today, where further details of the visit and the facilitated meeting process between President Kiir and Gen. Hemeti will be outlined.
