@DrMaryanQasim Chairperson of Somalia’s National Independent Human Rights Commission, met with Kirsten Young, Chief of Human Rights and Protection at UNTMIS and Representative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Somalia, to discuss cooperation and support aimed at strengthening the Commission.
The meeting, the first since the Commission’s leadership was elected earlier this month — focused on advancing human rights, reinforcing institutional capacity and promoting accountability through continued partnership with the United Nations.
