Rwandan forces (RDF) are continuing their withdrawal from eastern DRC, with movements observed this Saturday evening at the Kabuhanga border crossing in Nyiragongo territory.
According to local sources, vehicles and munitions coming from Rutshuru and Lubero crossed into Rwanda, including trucks carrying heavy weapons, armored vehicles, and transport units loaded with equipment.
Witnesses reported seeing multiple military convoys, suggesting an organized pullback from previously occupied areas.
Some residents believe part of the equipment may include weapons seized during the capture of Goma in January 2025.
Despite these movements, local authorities and M23 officials have not officially acknowledged the withdrawal.
