11 August 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, has officially inaugurated the new Somali embassy in Algiers, the capital of Algeria.
The opening ceremony, which took place at the new embassy building, was attended by the Algerian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Special Representative for African Affairs, Ms. Salma Bakhta Mansouri, and international diplomats led by the Somali Ambassador to Algeria, H.E. Yusuf Ahmed Hassan “Jeego”.
The opening of the new embassy is part of Minister Abdisalam’s official visit to Algeria from 9–11 August 2025, which demonstrates the two countries’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
